The Spirit of Asayah Beatty
Asayah Beatty's Story:
The Asayah Beatty Foundation was created to honor the life and legacy of Asayah Beatty, a young man whose vibrant spirit, love for music, and ability to bring people together left an unforgettable impact on everyone he met.

Asayah traveled often and lived in numerous states growing up, forming connections wherever he went. He had an incredible appreciation for music—across all genres—from Ray Charles to Queen to heavy metal. Even at a young age, he understood music on a deeper level than most, finding joy and meaning in every note. His passion for life was contagious, and he had a natural gift for making new friends and spreading laughter wherever he went.

Tragically, Asayah passed away in August of 2024, leaving an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. In his honor, this foundation was established to inspire hope, foster joy, and create a sense of family and togetherness in the communities we serve.

The Asayah Beatty Foundation is dedicated to supporting young people—especially those who may be uncertain about their path after high school. Through mentorship, exposure to new opportunities, and programs designed to open doors, we strive to give the next generation a greater chance at success.

By carrying forward Asayah’s spirit of unity, laughter, and love for music, we hope to uplift and empower young minds, ensuring that his legacy continues to make a difference in the world.

Our Programs
The Voices of Harrisburg

The Voices of Harrisburg is an annual vocal competition open to singers ages 14–28 from all over the country. Held in the heart of Harrisburg, the event celebrates performers of all backgrounds and offers a chance to win prizes while connecting with a supportive and inspiring community.
Not only do competitors have the opportunity to showcase their talent on the day of the competition, but all participants are also eligible to be selected for our official Foundation ensemble. This invitation-only group gains access to year-round perks, including voice coaching, mentorship, and live performance opportunities. Participation in the competition is required to be considered for the ensemble.
The Legal Lifeline Tour

The Legal Lifeline Tour is a traveling legal education series that brings essential knowledge to underserved communities.
From understanding your rights to navigating police encounters and learning about voting, expungements, and the justice system, this initiative equips youth and families with the tools to protect themselves and their future—without needing a law degree.

Support the Vision
Your gift helps us uplift, educate, and inspire
Your generosity fuels everything we do. Donations help us move closer to offering scholarships for the winners of our programs. They allow us to compensate vendors—like photographers, vocal coaches, and designers—who often volunteer their time to uplift our youth. Your support empowers us to plan and launch new programs like our student debate team, youth sports camp, and comic book initiative—all rooted in education, leadership, and creativity. As we grow, your donations allow us to offer larger scholarships and stronger long-term support for students navigating life, school, and their first steps into the professional world. Every dollar goes toward education in its many forms—whether in a classroom, a rehearsal hall, or a courtroom. You're helping us raise students who are prepared, passionate, and powerful.
